Today we got to see what this landscape actually looks like thanks to the clear skies and sun! The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking and getting to ski some pow down some of the many ridges and chutes here was so much fun! Gabbe thought this was the day to start doing his first backflips of the season, which resulted in a few crashes and eventually a completely wrecked ski… After a long day of skiing powder, digging for skis (everyone apparently needs to make some binding-adjustments…) and enjoying the steep and playful terrain here at Tenjin Daira we are now resting our legs in the couches here at the lodge watching a movie!
Jenny and I went for a walk to explore the neighborhood after we got down from the slopes and found our way down to the second train station located 486 steps down, drilled deep into the mountain. It’s pretty dark and creepy down there and seems to be semi-abandoned and definitely not a place either one of us would want to visit on our own…
